Mounting the dish on a warehouse gives it height, but does not guarantee that the router inside an office will reach the rest of the compound.

Wi-Fi can then be reserved for mobile users. If guest or staff access is required, it should be separated from operational equipment where the chosen router and network hardware support that configuration.
Processors and industrial sites
Industrial properties need coordination. Roof access may require a permit, site induction, protective equipment and approval from facilities or safety staff. The installer should know whether the roof contains fragile sheets, active vents, hot surfaces, chemical exposure, overhead services or restricted zones. A convenient-looking position cannot be used if it conflicts with the site’s safety rules or roof warranty.
For an operation that depends on cloud systems, Starlink can be assessed as one part of a resilient design rather than described as an uninterrupted leased line. A suitable business router can keep two connections available and apply failover rules, but the equipment and configuration must be included explicitly. Homes, schools, clinics and local businesses
Residents and institutions need the same fundamentals: a clear sky view, a secure mount, protected cabling and sensible router placement. Larger homes, schools and clinics may need additional access points or mesh nodes. The installation scope should identify exact rooms or blocks rather than promise “full coverage” without measurement.

The correct mount depends on the supporting structure, dish type, exposure and maintenance plan. A bracket should be fixed to a suitable structural member, not left dependent on a thin or deteriorated roof sheet. Any penetration must be approved and treated carefully to reduce water entry. Where a non-penetrating option is being considered, its stability and suitability for local conditions must still be evaluated.
Tall masts can improve visibility in some obstructed compounds, but height increases leverage and service difficulty. A mast also introduces questions about guying, foundations, wind and lightning exposure. The goal is a stable, maintainable position with the necessary sky view—not maximum height for appearance. Cable protection in active work areas
A farm or depot cable route can be exposed to vehicles, doors, stored materials, rodents, tools and routine cleaning. A loose cable across a walkway creates both a service risk and a safety problem. We plan support and mechanical protection for exposed sections, respect connector and bend limits, and keep indoor equipment in a secure, dry, ventilated place.
Cables should not be casually spliced or crushed through improvised openings. Where a wall or roof entry is approved, the route should discourage water tracking and should be documented at handover. If the site later changes its roof, cladding or office layout, the Starlink route should be included in the works plan rather than moved without inspection.
Business Wi-Fi, Ethernet and network separation
The connection delivered to the router is only the beginning of a commercial network. A processor or depot may have accounting computers, a CCTV recorder, handheld devices, printers and guest users. Placing all of them on one unmanaged Wi-Fi password can create performance and security problems. Suitable business network equipment can provide wired ports, separate network segments and controlled access, but those capabilities must be selected and configured.
For multiple buildings, a planned fibre, Ethernet or point-to-point wireless link may be used depending on distance, exposure and existing infrastructure. Backup internet and power continuity
If Starlink is intended as backup, the customer should define what must continue when the main link fails. A cashier, cloud application and office phones may be essential, while guest Wi-Fi and software updates can be limited. A dual-WAN or failover router can be configured according to those priorities. Failover can reduce downtime from one connection, but it cannot guarantee continuity if power, the local network or both providers fail.
Power planning is equally important. The dish, router, switch, access points and business gateway all add load. Backup capacity should be based on actual equipment and required runtime. What affects the installation quotation?

Can it act as backup for fibre or another provider?
It can be evaluated as a second connection. Automatic switching requires a compatible router and proper configuration. Redundancy reduces dependence on one link but does not remove power, equipment or wider network risks.
Will one router cover a depot or farm?

Can you connect CCTV cameras?
We can assess network connectivity for an existing or planned CCTV system. Camera count, recorder location, remote-viewing method, upload demand and security settings affect the design. Starlink performance and third-party camera services cannot be guaranteed by the installer.
