Request Installation Chat on WhatsAppWiFi Extension Services in Naivasha require a property-wide plan when reception, cottages and outdoor seating occupy separate areas. A router in the main house may serve staff well while guests struggle in their rooms. The solution needs to distinguish the connection between buildings from the WiFi that phones and laptops use inside each building.

Map the guest journey and service areas
Mark reception, occupied rooms, dining areas and any advertised workspaces. State where internet access is required and where it is outside the project scope. Include staff work areas and identify systems that must remain separate from guest devices. If a veranda is part of the advertised service, it belongs in the test plan rather than being treated as an optional extra.
Gather reports by room and time. A single complaint is useful, but repeated patterns reveal more: one cottage always losing connection, all rooms slowing at full occupancy, or only a particular device having difficulty. Test the incoming service independently before planning coverage expansion.
WiFi Extension Services in Naivasha: connect each building properly
There are two design questions. First, how will the network reach each building? Second, where should its local access point sit? Depending on the site, an installer may assess an appropriate cable route, fibre or a dedicated wireless bridge. Distance, obstacles, permissions and maintenance access affect the choice.
A building link is not automatically useful WiFi coverage for guest phones. The far end may still require an access point inside the cottage. Ask for a diagram showing the main router, links and local coverage devices. Avoid approving a plan described only as installing a more powerful router at reception.
Design for occupied rooms
Test with doors closed and at the places guests use their devices: a desk, bedside position or lounge seat. Include representative devices rather than relying on a single new phone. Wireless coverage can change across walls and layouts, so equipment count should follow assessment rather than a fixed promise per cottage.
Outdoor seating needs equipment suitable for its environment and a planned cable and power arrangement. Indoor devices should not be treated as weatherproof simply because they are under a roof. See our outdoor WiFi installation guide for questions to include in the site brief.
Protect staff systems and manage guest access
Specify whether guests should be isolated from each other as well as from reception computers and management equipment. The installer should confirm what the selected system supports and demonstrate the intended restrictions. A separate network name is not enough evidence on its own.
Keep connection instructions short and readable. Assign responsibility for guest access changes, support and equipment records. Staff should be able to identify the affected cottage and device label without exposing administration credentials to visitors.
Plan around occupancy and available bandwidth
Estimate simultaneous use during busy periods, including video calls, streaming and staff operations. Extending coverage does not increase the capacity of the internet subscription. If the incoming service is saturated, the business may need a separate discussion with its provider as well as a coverage project.
Agree how bandwidth-management features will be used, if available. Any limits should fit the service promised to guests. Do not advertise a guaranteed speed based solely on equipment specifications or a test in an empty property.
Handover checks for a guest property
- Walk the agreed guest areas with the room list.
- Test a call or normal web use in each representative room type.
- Confirm guest isolation from staff resources.
- Repeat selected tests under representative simultaneous use.
- Review the fault-reporting and recovery procedure with the caretaker or manager.
Frequently asked questions
Can cottages share one internet connection?
Technically this may be possible, but check the service terms, required capacity and site design first.
Will a repeater at every cottage work?
Only if the links feeding those devices are sound. A planned distribution network is preferable to guessing from cottage to cottage.
What determines the quotation?
Building layout, link method, equipment positions, cable work, power, configuration and testing all affect the scope. Request an assessment-based proposal.
Request a SpaceKits assessment
Send your location, property type, existing router model and a short list of weak areas. Describe the work you need the connection to support. Request a site-specific quotation from SpaceKits or contact SpaceKits on WhatsApp. Equipment, installation scope and visit arrangements should be confirmed before booking.
